3/5ths of Deerpeople from Stillwater. They were listening to their new track that they had just recorded the week prior to the Church session. I had never heard their music before this day and I was blown away.

This is a photograph of Bryce from Native Lights. I liked this photograph even though it is out of focus and under exposed. Kelly has this photo of David Cook where he isn't tack sharp and it worked for him. So even with all the technical flaws I still really enjoyed this image!

We were heading out the door to the festival and I saw how this room was lit up. So I had Austin pose before we caught the train.

I shot this photo during a video shoot of Deer People at the Church Studios in Tulsa, OK. During every bands sound check i'd run around and take stills. I'm happy with how this turned out.

We couldn't open the gate so we all jumped over but, left Charles behind.

We stayed with some friends in Chicago during the Pitchfork Music Festival. She had this really cool winding staircase that I had to take a picture of.

Studio Session!

Girl Talk

To get these shots I used my new press pass that Kelly printed up for us. It was my first time to use it and since the show was sold out I was a little nervous that it wouldn't work. I got to shoot for the first three songs without a flash. The hard part though was that there is a continuous party going on while your up there shooting and i'm totally fine with that. I honestly don't mind being bumped into while i'm shoot...it's what I signed up for. But, his manager said if I stand in a spot too long then there is a big gap around me so in order to keep the "party" going..I need to keep moving. That was the most challenging part and I really liked the challenge!

The Church Sessions

My friend, Johnathan, sent me a message and asked me if I wanted to document Broncho's recording sessions at The Church Studio. It was a really cool experience for me because i've heard all about the Church from my father and it was my first time actually in the Studio. When shooting for Broncho I took a really journalistic approach. Capturing all of the downtime and coffee making to the serious talks and of course the recording process. I had a blast and managed to get another gig out of the deal. Here's to the future and good music. Cheers!

I shot black and white with a little added grain to get the feel of a 70's punk band because to me thats what Broncho brings to the table. A modern day band that sounds like they are not from this decade. Listen to their tracks at www.myspace.com/bronchoband

Lil' D in Okmulgee

This is a photo shoot I did with Dallas. She's a model from McAlister that came up to OSU for our version of Model Mayhem. We had 5 different models that came to campus in the morning and stayed until 4 p.m. My friend Steven and I decided to break away from the studio and to go on location for some shots. This was my first time to actually shoot a model and I had a lot of fun doing it.

Lizard Police

I'm in a band called Lizard Police and we were in studio recording our first record. Our guitarist Austin was in the other room listening to the tracks as Hank was mixing down my bass tracks. There is a slight HDR on this image.
